Stuck drain hose

Frigidaire FRS2KF6EWC
I cannot disengage a defrosted drain hose from the defrost drain hole inside the back of the freezer or from underneath the freezer near the floor. I want to replace the drain hose because defrost condensation visibly leaks around the outside of the drain hose onto the floor just below where the hose exits the drain hole and before it curves over to the drain pan. The hose isn’t clogged; water is visible in the drain pan when the hose is flushed from the drain hole. The hose appears to have a seal-like flange on the end that rests in the drain hole which I can’t seem to disengage in order to pull the hose out. Because the flange rests slightly below the surface of the drain hole, I can’t grasp it. Pliers and putty knife were unsuccessful. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZlN_JjBAZ0I for Part # 241957901 241957901 Drain Tube | Genuine Frigidaire OEM In Stock. Any ideas?

It sounds like there may be some residue that is causing the drain tube to stick in place. Typically, the tube can be pushed up slightly from the condenser side, just enough to get a grip on it.

Using a small flathead screwdriver, try gently lifting up on the edge of the drain tube seal. That may give you just enough clearance to grab onto the flange and work it loose.

I was unable to lift up on the edge of the drain tube seal using a variety of tools. In attempting to do so the seal was pushed down into the drain slightly. Would there be any harm in attempting to remove this stubborn drain hose by giving the seal a push while simultaneously pulling the hose from below?

I don’t believe there would be any harm as long as nothing damages the liner or insulation.
