Strange problem with GE profile bottom freezer

Ok, guys, here’s the deal.

GE profile bottom freezer. Freezer stays below 0. Refrigerator stats around 60. The readout on the door says it is 39-41 but it isn’t. The freezer indicator reads correctly. I have replaced the thermister, main board, and the board behind the controls. The stepper motor operates, and will open for the first few minutes when the fridge is turned on but then will close itself when the fresh food compartment reaches what the indicator says is 39 degrees but is actually about 60.

thanks in advance for any suggestion, I really don’t know what else to check.

If you changed the fresh food thermistor, remove the damper cover and check if it is jammed shut.

Already done when I checked the motor that drives it.

Take a wad of duck tape and jam the damper door part way open and then see if the temperatures become “normal”.

They do not. It freezes everything. Should have mentioned that in the original post sorry.

Remove the back freezer panel and describe the frost pattern.

frost pattern is normal/even.

Only things left are the freezer air returns and a possible bad motherboard even though it’s new.
