The stove knobs on my oven get extremely hot when the oven is in use. I am not sure why and was hoping to figure out why and fix it. The oven is ~9 years old. Thank you!

Not really a fix, but this such a common complaint that the manufacturer actually released a service manual about it regarding allowable surface temperatures.
On plastic or plastic-coated knobs and handles it is considered within normal operating parameters up to 167 degrees F, and the dial or skirt of the knob is allowed an additional 20 degrees.
Thank you for the reply. Mine is reaching >250F
. Where can I find the service manual?
The service manuals are too large for me to attach here, but they wouldn’t really cover this issue anyways.
The knobs getting that hot would lean me towards hot air leaking into the area under the cooktop. You’ll probably need to take the cooktop off and use something like hi-temp metal foil tap to seal any gaps in that burner box and the flue/vent running from the oven to the console that could be allowing in hot air from the oven.
