Stops during sensing cycle and wont run after/drain and spin issues as well

Washer will begin sensing cycle and immediately there is a relatively loud but very short whirring sound that doesnt sound normal then the lid lock opens and the lid light flashes continually.

Have also had intermittent drain and spin issues. Have checked the drain pump and it is clear and the belt drive spins freely both clockwise and counterclockwise and I can hear water being moved during manually spin drive belt.

Changed out the actuator.
Washer will run the hand wash cycle to completion. Wll not do bulk , normal, or perm press cycles. It does a quick senseing cycle then loud buzz now, then the lid lock releases and the lock light flashes.
So I am asking what my next step is? Control board?
Having put washer on its front , I read soemwhere it was necessary to reset the machine? How do I do that?
