The start/pause button started acting up and working sometimes and other times not. The door switch seems to work fine and if we hold the button for about five minutes it sometimes works. Other times it works just fine. The on/off button works. Could it be the panel assembly control? Or a computer problem. The dryer is a LG DLE7177RM electric dryer approximately 8 years old.
If the door switch ohms out ok…check the tech sheet for circuit paths should be inside unit…Remove the top then your front panel and see if your buttons are sticking. If there’s no sticking involved on the buttons i’d say it sounds like your Main PCB board is going out. Newer appliances especially LG and Samsung do not last that long 7 years on a dryer now of days is considered good. PART NUMBER: 6871EL1007A
