Start light blinks continuesly

The Start Light blinks all the time. When you hold it for a few seconds sometimes it stop blinking. Last night, it somehow started and then ran through an entire washing cycle but all the time it was still blinking. I shut the power off last night and then this morning I turned it back on and the light stayed off.

Most of the time when it gets to blinking, there is nothing you can do to get the machine started.

Any ideas??

I would start by checking the door switch/ latch. If it checks out okay, then I would think the control board is fragged and may need to be replaced.

Thank you for your reply. I am checking both of them carefully. Hopefully it is the latch because it is a lot cheaper.
