I have been doing research online about all the troubleshooting ideas with standing water in bottom of dishwasher. I am getting no where. First of all it says to lift up and turn counter clockwise to get spray arm off no luck. please help. Second of all i did put a new garbage disposal in how do I know if the knockout plug is still in. I see where they r talking about mine still had the orange sticker over it.
Disconnect the drain pump at disposal and take a wet shop vac and suck all the water out of the unit that is if it doesn’t go through an air vent first…make sure if you have an air vent on the top of the sink you check that first alot of times those get clogged and that’s your problem period…if you can vacuum out the water with a shop vac then more then likely you have a bad pump or debris in the bottom of the washer.

If you dd not knock out the plug on the disposal then odds are it is still there.
If the unit drains at all then the plug is probably gone.
Does the unit drain at all?
How much water is left in the unit?
After a dishwasher cycle ends is the water there or is it empty and then as time goes by water ends up in the tub?
It is normal for there to be about a quarter inch of water in the tub in these units. If the pump where to pump out all the water and the unit ran while dry it will burn up the pump seals.
