Stand Alone Ice Maker

I have an ice maker outside that has either a crack hose or valve from being frozen. What I am trying to determine is how I can use the existing valve with new hoses. In talking to the parts person, he indicated the hose slide on and grip. What he couldn’t tell me if they could be taken off and reconnected to valve. Any one who could help me with this question/

Paradise,

I understand, the unit froze up, but I don’t quite understand what you have in mind,

If this unit had frozen water in the supply tubing or the internal tubing, you need to be replacing evrything, all the tubes, and the fill valve, just for safety’s sake at least.

The fill have does have “John Guess” fittings, those fittings are basically a compression fit and dont have nuts or ferrels.

And the water tubing kit has metal inserts, and any connector nuts or ferrels can be re used, unless there are obvious cracks,or breaks.

And if you left water sitting in the reservoir, you’d also need to consider the pumps,

These are the parts I would have on hand, just in case.
