I am getting this squeak, but it is running fine and washing well. Two questions to this topic. Is this an immediate repair or is this something that can wait for a few weeks? I am not hearing any metal grinding sounds. Second, is the repair worth the cost of the part and the time? This is a relatively complex repair (I don’t own a spanner wrench) so I am probably looking at least a 2 hour repair time. Thanks in advance for any response.
The squeaking is likely the transmission bearings starting to fail. The noise will get worse until the transmission possibly seizes up.
