Brand:SPT
Model Number:IM-150US
Main Symptom: compressor doesn’t kick on
What happens & when: compressor won’t start - suspect relay
This is an under counter ice maker sold by Home Depot and Amazon among others. This relay has just one spade connector and one pin socket that slides onto one of three pins on the compressor. Hoping someone might recognize it from the photos. I find what is clearly the same body on line with the part# matching DRB 18T61A1 but not the rest of the number and they’re referred to as overload protectors. They have 22D-2 rather than 21F-2 as on this piece. Can’t find anything on APP starting with DRB 18.
There was no event like moving or anything, it was not disturbed, just stopped working after a little over a year. There is power to the relay but no sound at all, no hum, nothing from the compressor.
Q: Can I safely jump the compressor to test that it’s not cooked? If so, jump what to what of the three pins?
Thanks.
