Spring Broken & Replaced, Now It Won't Spin

My washer broke the other day. I determined it was one of the springs that hold the drum up, and replaced that myself. I looked around for signs of anything else being damaged, didn’t see anything, and put it back together.

When I attempted to do a load of laundry, the washer filled with water but did not spin. After using Google to search for similar problem reports, I found out how to put my “Good” model washer (not “Better”) into diagnostic mode. My problem now, besides a broken washer, is that I can’t decipher the cryptic beeping codes (even with a key).

The 5 lights beep and flash 5 times, along with the start light at the same time, then the start light flashes 4 additional times before pausing and repeating. I thought this would be error code 54, but there isn’t such a thing.

Any ideas?

I found the problem. I’m not sure how I missed it, but one of the wires (orange) coming off the motor control board appears to have been cut in half against the plastic housing when the tub fell from the spring breaking.

Anyhow, I striped the wires and joined them with a wire nut. It spins now!
