Spot weld failed on upper spray arm

Brand: GE
Model Number: ZDT800SSF7SS - GE Monogram Dishwasher
Main Symptom: Upper spray arm clip spot welds have broken.
What happens & when: The spray arm, is hanging down about 3/4", so it doesn’t rinse the tops of the glasses. Looking for a way to re-secure the spot welded clip, is there a special glue for stainless steel that’s heat and water-proof?

Error Code (if any): N/A

Are you talking about the spray arm that attaches to the bottom of the upper rack?

Is it the spray arm that is damaged or The tube that the spray arm is attached to?

No. It’s the very top spray arm which snaps into a stainless steel clip. The clip was spot welded to the ceiling of the dishwasher, but the welds have failed so the clip and spray arm hangs down about 3/4". This results in a poor rinse of tall items like glasses in the upper tray.

Sadly I know of no adhesive or glue that would hold up to the conditions present in an operating dishwasher. Unless you can weld the attachment back in place I would regretfully say you need a new unit
