Spline shaft not attached to anything

What happens & when:spin

I replaced the hub piece for the agitator and when I did that, the spline shaft came right out. Is that supposed to be banged into something and/or does it need replacing without an entire assembly?

If the shaft has come out then the gearcase would need to be replaced and here is a link for the part.

I replaced a couple of things, one of which per your recommendation. At this point, 200 for the gear case or 150 -175 for a used washer.

Im already $80 into this and I don’t really know what I want to do moving forward.

I would have ordered all of this together and saved money on shipping. I noticed that I could have saved at $50 on most of these parts but I purchased them through your company because I valued your videos and support.

Is there a way that you could give me a break on shipping?
