Spin cycle

The spin cycle won’t spin automatically on all 3 catagory cycles, but will spin manually. What is the problem?

Can you explain what you mean when you say it will spin manually. Does this mean you have to move the timer, or in some way manually start the machine spinning?

Also, when it does start spinning does it finish the cycle correctly and are there any other problems/symptoms?

Thanks

When the timer reaches spin the machine stops. You can rest set to spin & the machine will spin out & complete the washing cycle.

There is a technical bulletin that suggests the problem may be in the lid switch.

See if you can determine if that is the problem by following their instructions. Even if you cannot, you may want to replace the lid switch just to rule it out, as it is not an expensive part and is prone to breaking.

In fact, they have redisigned it. Here is a bulletin on their new switch
