Guys i need help, this washer was given to me from a friend and he said the vibration in spin cycle is because some kind of spring or springs are missing inside…washer works fine except for this…Does a top load have springs that can come loose or fall off to make it shake real bad when spinning. Thanks
There are indeed six springs that attach between the bottom of the outer tub support and the base of the machine. However, unless they are completely missing, they are not usually what causes the vibration and out of balance spinning. That is usually the result of the snubber being worn. The snubber is a plastic ring that helps to keep the tub positioned correctly on the base of the machine and is shown as number 22 in the picture below. Have you hooked up the machine and tried it in your location yet?
