Spilled water on gas range

I was boiling a small pot of pasta, when some of the noodles sticking out of the pot caught on fire. The fire grew pretty quickly so I poured water over it, just enough to quench the fire. A couple hours later, the oven starting smoking and made a continuous, loud buzzing noise. It smelled pretty bad, like an electrical fire. I had to turn the circuit switches out. Every time I turn the circuit back on, the buzzing noise starts.

Miyunkim,

All of your electronic controls are located under the cooktop.

Theres no way of knowing what may have been shorted out by the water.

You may want to leave the power off for a few more days, and hope things dry out “completely”.

I have attached the service manual for your unit, so you can access the controls and possible damaged components, if you wish.

You may want to remove the control panel, so we can get air into the area and speed up the drying process.

Good Luck,
