Speed Queen dryer needs 2-3 cycles to dry

edited to add-problem solved
One of the wires by the elements was partially melted, so I fixed that. Soaked and scrubbed the lint tray and then let it soak in hot water and detergent for the rest of the day. It was 100% the dryer sheet residue blocking the air through the lint tray. Works like new

Hello, y’all have been a tremendous help to me before and I’m really hoping you can help now. I have a Speed Queen dryer, model ADELRGS171TW01, purchased in 2015. The only thing I’ve had to do is replace the felt seal a couple of years ago. The problem I’m having is it has to run at least twice to dry the clothes. We had a repair guy come and test the element, which he said was fine. He said it was a venting issue, so I replaced the entire vent ducts under the house and relocated the dryer so the inside ductwork would be a straight shot with very slight improvement. We’ve vacuumed the lint from inside, too. If it’s not the venting, what else could it be?

Most of these dryers use a plastic blower wheel that is attached on to the motor shaft by a metal collar and a snap ring. After years of use the blower wheel hub wears out where it slides onto the motor shaft . It looks like a D at the hub. This allows the motor shaft to turn but the blower wheel slips and does not turn properly to force the air thru the clothes. You will need to check this but it will be necessary to dismantle the blower to check it . It may require replacement of the blower wheel.
