I was reheating coffee when the microwave caught fire!. I unplugged it, cleaned the mess. The fire was located on the right hand inside panel, on the rack holder. When I plugged it in, the unit works continuously, lights on and it looks like a thunder storm inside, even with the door open it does not stop. is it possible to repair this? can I disable the microwave and continue using the fan and the lights? thank you for your help.
Remove the top grill and open the control panel. Check all door switches and inspect the control board for a burned spots. Post the results.

Thanks for your prompt reply!. I removed the grill and check the board. There’s a burn spot on the board nothing big just a small spot on the conector CN08 SENSOR, everything else looks OK.
Possible the gas sensor (#62 on the diagram) is damaged as well as the control board.

Thank you.
I think it would be better just to buy a new one. One last question, is it difficult to install this type of microwave?, the guy at the store is charging $200. Is it something I can do myself?
Thanks again.
A new microwave comes with the installation instructions. If you know how to handle a simple hand tools and you have a good drill then you can do it.
