Powder soap dispenser does not work when dishwasher is on.
It may be clogged from using the wrong soap. un screw the top off depend on the type of dispenser.
Un srew the bottle under the counter out and you can pull down on the dispener tube. run hot water in through it or you may be able to run it in the dishwasher.
you may need a small allen wrench to remove the top.
Another way have you tryed putting just water in the bottle an pumping it out that way.

The soap dispenser in an old Maytag dishwasher is not releasing the powdered soap. Yet every part seems to be working when I check it.
