Slow Water Dispenser

Main Symptom: Extremely slow water dispensing
What happens & when:

My GFE28GYNGFS refrigerator is EXTREMELY slow to dispense water and makes ice slow as well. I replaced the filter several times and checked the supply line. Any assistance is greatly appreciated

Try removing the filter and put the bypass in. Check to see if the water flow improves. If it does then this will be a filter head that is faulty and would need to be replaced.

Thank you, do you know the part number for the bypass plug? I do not believe I have one.

There seems to be no difference with the bypass in… I timed filling a 16 oz glass and both took approximately 1 minute to fill.
