IT IS WORKING FOR ABOUT 2 YEARS AND THEN PLACE IN THE GARAGE FOR STORAGE FOR ABOUT 4 MONTHS. NOW I NEED IT, IT DOES NOT WORK. THE REFRIGERATOR AND FREEZER IS NOT COOLING, THE COMPRESSOR WILL NOT TURN ON BUT THE FAN IS WORKING, THE WATER IS AVAILABLE FROM THE DISPENSER. WHAT COULD BE WRONG? HELP, WHATEVER IDEAS OR SOLUTIONS YOU MIGHT HAVE GIVE IT TO ME.
Hi Gene,
It was at a Normal Standing Up position. During the transport it is on it side for about 15 min, less than 1/2 a mile. Then I have it In a Normal Standing Up position about 2 Days before I plug it in. The fan is running but the compressor is not.
Where is the location of start relay and the overload? I’m really exited, I can’t wait to get home to check the relay and reset the overload.

pull off the back panel and on the left side of the compressor you might have to pull off a cover or a small metal clip. unplug refrigerator and pry off the relay. ohm out the relay and overload. if bad replace, overload is usually fine.

Unplug the temperature control harness. Does the refrigerator start once the harness is unplugged?
If it did then replace the temperature control board.
If it did not then replace the main control board (on the back of the fridge). I would recommend to replace both refrigerator and freezer temperature sensors together with the main control board.
The part number for the temperature control board is AP3183989
The part number for the main control board is AP3950129
The part number for the temperature sensor (they are identical) is AP3185407
Where is the location of the temperature control harness / temperature control board? and the temperature sensors? I know where is the main control board (on the back of the fridge).

The temperature control is #424 on the break down diagram and the temperature sensor (FF) is #242 on the break down diagram. It’s located on the side panel in both compartments (behind a small cover).
Hi Gene,
Its Fred, I did what you said to unplug the Temp Cont harness and plug it back in and if it started, then the Temp Cont Board need to be replace. So I order the Part 424 today. Thanks for all your help. I have confidence that when I install this part that it will work.
Hi Gene,
Its Fred, I have installed the New temp control and i’m a bit disappointed coz, the compressor started and stay on and it is warm I can hold / touch it for awhile, it is not hot. but I still have warm air in the freezer, the ref is still warm. What else could be wrong?
Remove the rear cover in the freezer and check how the coil covered in frost. Normally it suppose to be like a light snow.
Hi Gene, I dont remember that there is access cover behind the freezer? Its a full Sheet of the entire back of the unit. Is this the cover you are saying? or Are saying a cover inside but in the back of the freezer? Right now it is off, how long it should be on before i can check for symtoms? So, 1.)whats next, if it is normal? 2.) what, if it is has heavy Frost? 3.) whats next, if no frost at all?
