i have a sharp microwave convection oven. when plugged in with the door closed, the light goes on immediately and the only function that can be performed on the touchpad is to set the time. if you open the door everything is the same. it is a sharp 900 series micro/convection oven. externally the door appears to close and seal properly. i purchased the oven used and during transport… it slid and was grabbed to prevent it from hitting the ground. it did not actually hit anything, but i’m wondering if the problem is perhaps caused by an alignment or switch problem. i tryed gently moving the door but that did not solve the problem. could the interlock switches have been damaged or misaligned during its mishap? what can cause this? i desperately want to resolve and repair the oven… thanks in advance.
