Separating Basket from Tub

I have a Whirlpool GHW9100LW2 front loading washing machine. The bearings went bad so I decided I would try to replace them myself. I have disassembled the machine and separated the outer tub into two pieces. Now I am trying to separate the basket from the back half of the outer tub with no luck.

I have read through the service manual on the Whirlpool website and from what it says the basket should just pull from the back half of the tub.

My problem .. the basket pulls out about 1.5 inches and then will not pull any further. I can not see what is causing the basket not to pull out. Anybody with any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Should it be as simple as the basket pulling from the back half of the tub, or, is there a trick to it?

The rear bearing was completely mangled so I am assuming that there is another that I can not see and that it is mangled too.

Figured it out .. just needed a sledge hammer and an extra set of hands  The basket should pull straight from the tub, but, it is never that easy.
