When I start the the Self Clean cycle all appears normal, the 3 hour countdown begins and the oven begins to heat up. After 1 hour (of the 3 hour cycle) the Self Clean cycle stops and of course the oven isn’t clean. Operation of the oven returns to normal and the door unlocks after the temperature drops. Doesn’t sound like a thermal fuse because that is either good or bad and there is power to the control panel - but I guess it could be. I tried cycling power (off about 1/2 hour) to reset the control panel to reset any memory fault but the same problem occurs. Before I open this range up and start poking around - any suggestions on what this problem could be? During normal cooking, the temperature seem correct. Is there a thermal probe just for the self clean function that could be reading an incorrect temp - ie a high temp shutdown occurs? (just a guess).
Thanks
Hi Brian,
Looks like the problem is a bad control board. There are no any kind of safety devices besides the non-resettable fuse which is in the heating circuit.
If you need the correct part number, post the color of the keypad. It comes together.

P.S. As far as I know, APP does not ship parts to Canada yet. You can order any parts from APP if you do have a valid US address.
Hi Gene
Is there any way to reset the Control Board so it re-boots. Everything appears to look and feel correct - all displays appear correct and timers work etc. It seems like just a memory glitch.
For the $200+ that this will cost it is not worth replacing - but will use oven cleaner.
You can try to remove the power from the unit for a few minutes, but I don’t think it will really help. I believe you can survive without using the self clean. This is probably the best solution.
