Sorry, but I lost the forum thread I had started the other day regarding brown sediment seeping out of a line in my ice maker.
Referring to AppliancePro photos of part AP 2984633…the sediment is coming from the U-shaped tube on the underside of the ice-maker. It’s a metal tube and must be the refrigeration line. The seepage is occuring where the tube enters the box (control box?) at the front of the ice-maker. Is this repairable, or do I need a new unit?

I believe the tube you are referring too is the heating element no the bottom of the ice maker.
It has been my experience that it is better to simply replace the ice maker unit all together then to try and repair them.
Thanks…what would the brown sediment come from around the heating element?
