My wife washed my work clothes but didn’t clean the pockets out-of course they were 1 1/2" deck screws. She smelled some type of smoke smell & machine quit on her, she shut it down. I need to access the pump or belt to inspect which one I need to replace. Didn’t really inspect it that closely yet as I just got home but will spend more time tomorrow as my shift ends today. Any order of sequence to take the panels off. This happens to be a stackable unit. When screws do drop down which part would be the culprit. Any help would be much apprieciated. Thanks
Start with the pump and drain hoses, but it is hard to see how they might cause your problem. Look for the screws going through the tub and hanging up things for that reason.

I removed the front panel & found the belt was slit in half. I removed all the screws. Will give an update after I replace the belt. Thanks
