I came home from vacation to find my ice machine filled with melted ice and not powered on.
I tried to power on with button but no response, no lights.
Changed outlets and checked voltage on outlet is good.
Opened top panel to expose control panel and transformer. Removed leads from transformer and have 89ohms across primary but only 3 ohms across secondary (continuity test beeps) I suspected bad transformer…
But then I tried plugging in power and notice that measuring the voltage across the primary wires I am not getting 120vac… I know it’s good at the wall but seems like that black and white primary cable piggy backs on the pump in the back and then goes down the back.
Is it possible that done other component has failed and if so, what should I look at now?
Edit: I’m not getting 0 volts at the primary, I’m getting like 3 volts
