Samsung WF45K6500AV/A2 won’t spin

Please make sure to click on General above and select the correct appliance type first.

Brand: Samsung
Model Number: wf45k6500av/a2
Main Symptom: didn’t spin load
What happens & when:

The cycle started but it didn’t spin the load of clothes out as the load was still super soaked and needed to be rung out by hand.
Now when we started or tried to start a new wash/load the cycle will start and water begins to fill(hear it) but then it stops within less than a min of starting. And does nothing from then on

This happens whether it’s on the normal, quick wash, or rinse/spin cycle.

On the front panel where it has wash, rinse, spin and end it is only on wash and “wash” blinks

Error Code (if any): none

If the washer power is turned on, the Delay End button can be pressed until 17:00 or 17h appears. From there, press and hold the Start button until AS appears. Once AS appears, release the Start button and press the Super Speed button until the display shows Cr. Once Cr is displayed, rotate the cycle knob clockwise to show any stored error codes. If this method does not work, power the washer on, press Temp, Soil Level, Spin, Soil Level then turn the cycle knob clockwise until the number 6 is shown on the display. Let it sit for 2 seconds and an error code should appear afterwards if one was identified. Does an error code show up using either method, and if one does, what is the error code? Also, does the spin basket rotate by hand freely?

I got an error code by doing the first method outlined above and the code displayed was “0001”. No error code was displayed trying the second method as a 6 never appeared on the screen.

The basket does spin freely when turning by hand.

Just to make sure I understand correctly, when the display showed Cr and the cycle knob was rotated clockwise, it showed the code 0001 in the error retrieval mode? If this is the case, it would be considered an invalid error code. This could be caused by a communication issue between controls, a user interface failure, or main control failure. A relatively easy way to identify what might be happening would be unplugging the power cord and accessing the motor inverter at the bottom back of the washer. With it accessed, locate a 4-wire connection with wires going to the stator and disconnect the wires from the inverter. With no bare wires touching anything, and the wires not in the way of the motor, plug the power cord back in and attempt a drain and spin cycle. This should trick the control system into identifying the error code 3C either by displaying it automatically or by displaying it through the error retrieval process. If the error code does not show up, the main control would be the likely cause of failure. Let me know what you find and we can go from there. Also, is there an REV number or a /## number on the model/serial tag?
