Samsung Range Oven turns on broil when baking

Brand: Samsung
**Model Number:**NE63T8511SS/AA
Main Symptom:Broil starts by itself
What happens & when: when I bake, the broil starts by itself and burns the food. It started happening since last week and happens randomly, but now it is happening always. See video in link.

During a bake cycle, the broil element is used to help get the oven up to temperature. However, when the bake element is on, the broil element should be off. When the bake element cycles off is when the broil should cycle on. If the broil element is not cycling off, the power cord would need to be unplugged and the back of the range accessed. With the back panel of the range removed, the broil element would need to have the wires disconnected and the element terminals tested for continuity to the oven frame. Does it have continuity? If it does, the broil element would need to be replaced. If not, it is possible that the issue may be with the main control. Is there an REV number on the model tag at all?

Hi William, thank you for your answer. I don’t see any REV in the model. I’m attaching here a picture of the model and serial.

Thank you very much.

Hi William,

What would be the part # of the main control?

Thank you

Avraham
