Watched videos on web, mainly just say clean and mess with the touchpad. Some recommend removing and cleaning ribbon cable [just 4 wires in this model] connectors. All seem to show the touchpad on the RHSide. Mine is in the door. My issue is to get access to the touchpad in the door. Cant for the life of me figure where to start. I had repaired the previous one twice, [no power] before tossing it and buying this newer model, simply because the mounting was the same and it was an emergency. Any help, pointers, videos? So done with Samsung products.
With the power cord unplugged, the vent grill would need to be removed. This will allow the harness at the top hinge to be disconnected. The door will need to be opened to a 90 degree angle then lifted up and the bottom rotated out. This will let the door be set face down on a flat surface. a small flat head screwdriver would need to carefully be used to remove the plastic trim on the inner panel of the door. From there, remove the spring and door latch. Once that is done, the handle screws can be removed so that the handle can be set to the side. The glass frame assembly will have screws that would need to be removed and once the glass frame is set to the side, the touchpad should be accessible.
