last week my samsung refrig ice maker started leaking through the fill tube, causing a nice flood in the freezer [the ice maker was working fine].
my neighbor [the expert] said i needed to replace the inlet valve. when the neighbor came over to help replace the valve he broke the frame on the ice maker. i got a new ice maker now and a new inlet valve. now the only way it will make ice is if i push the reset button on the bottom of the ice maker. the front panel shows the ice maker is turned on. i pulled out the new ice maker and double checked that the wiring plug was tight and checked the wiring on the inlet valve. any suggestions?
Check freezer Temps you can make ice all day at 32 degrees but most icemakers will not cycle unless it’s below 18 degrees and some are even lower temps
