Samsung DVE45T6000W/A3 HC code after replacing thermistor 2 days ago

Brand: Samsung
Model Number: DVE45T6000W/A3
Main Symptom: works for 10 seconds
What happens & when: Codes out after 10 seconds and starts beeping “HC”

Error Code (if any): HC
Parts or tests already tried: Thermistor and other fuse next to it on same blower housing

Before all this happened, the dryer would turn on and you would hear a faint click in the back, but it woouldnt spin. After some multimeter testing, Old thermistor tested at “1” on 20k test. Order some aftermarket Heat kit off amazon for 28 bucks which included both fuses on blower housing, and 2 other fuses on the Heat shield AND the coils itself. New Thermistor checked at “10.45”, clearly seemed to be the issue. I only replaced the the 2 fuses on blower housing, and it worked for 2 days. Now its throwing Code HC and the thermistor checks at “.43” on a 20k test. ALSO, while taking it apart, I noticed inside of the lint trap holder/blower housing cover has condensation. I dont want to replace the thermistor again and this happen again. Any Ideas??

Added 2 pictures of the blower moter and the cover/ lint holder INSIDE condensation.

For Samsung dryer DVE45T6000W/A3, HC = high-temperature/heating error. Samsung says the dryer is detecting excessive heat; the most common cause is restricted airflow from the lint filter or exhaust vent.

Check in this order:

  1. Clean lint filter completely.
  2. Check/clean the entire exhaust vent to the outside.
  3. Run the dryer briefly with the exhaust hose disconnected. If HC disappears, the house vent is restricted.
  4. If HC still appears with the vent disconnected, check the blower airflow/wheel and temperature-sensing circuit.
  5. Check the thermistor and wiring; after those, suspect the heater/control-board heating relay.

The model manual specifically defines HC as “High temperature heating check.”

The condensation in the lint trap and the fact of the thermistor issues really lead me to think your vent is constricted/blocked at some point. Check the full vent run very carefully. Also I would avoid non oem parts they aren’t made to the sme standards as OEM
