Samsung Electric Dryer DV220 will run continuously in either Sensor Dry or Timed Dry. When it comes to the end of the timed cycle it goes to 0, then the arrows in the window rotate continuously. Vent is clean, unit does heat up. Thermistor, maybe? Any thoughts?
Sounds like a possibly main board or interface issue…LG and Samsung dryers are the biggest pain sometimes and very costly repairs after only owning the unit for a couple years. Try unplugging unit while holding the power button then plug it back in while holding the power button the whole time. Sounds strange but the techs at Samsung informed us of that recently. Word of advice avoid buying LG or Samsung seriously. I see them all the time they’re cheaply made with cheap parts that break easy but they charge the consumer a fortune to buy them. Good luck
Thanks, HRM, I will give that a try. So, it sounds like the thermistor is a “no” I hate to drop a control board in, but it sounds like that going to be my next option. Thanks again
Check the tech sheet inside the unit it will show your the paths of the wires. Thermistors do go out but the problem your saying i’ve never seen being a thermistor typically thermistor probs are issues with temperatures being too hot or too cold essentially it’s an operating thermostat essentially.
I tried holding the power button and unplugging the unit then plugging back in…it seems to have worked! Thanks:)
