Brand: Samsung
Model Number: DV48H7400AQ/A2
Main Symptom: Lower rear roller roaring and abrading
What happens & when: Squeaking noise when the dryer is turned on
Error Code (if any): n/a
Parts or tests already tried:
I removed the front panel and the tumbler barrel. There is abraded rubber in the bottom of the unit and on a ledge. The lower rear roller appears to be bent. I have not tried to remove the roller shaft.
I suspect that the metal in the rear bulkhead has distorted moving the roller shaft out of alignment and causing the abrasion. I don’t know how to remove the rear bulkhead to inspect it.
2 Questions:
- How do I remove the rear bulkhead (the pressed metal panel that the roller shaft is attached to)?
- If the bulkhead metal is misshapen, what (if anything) can be done to realign it so that the roller shaft is properly aligned?
