Samsung Dishwasher

Bought new Aug 13
Symptoms:
Fills with water, starts wash cycle but immediately drains.
I have replaced the circuit board, the water inlet pump and the A/S Assy-Case Brake.
First got “Smart Auto and Heavy” lights blinking. Now getting “Delicate” light blinking. I think that means a problem with the drain, however, I can’t see how that would give me the symptoms I have. Everything seems ok filling, machine starts to wash then immediately drains. Can’t see how that has anything to do with a drain problem since the drain pump completely pumps out all the water inside the dishwasher.

It sounds like you have what Samsung calls a Function Error. The sensor that checks to ensure that the water drains out as soon as you start is registering that water is still left. Check your pump for blockage as well as the discharge hose for blockage. Sometimes bone or maybe a broken piece of glass obstructs the pump causing this. Good Luck

I had a Samsung dishwasher in stalled this fall and the hose got crunched when installed. Have been eating foe s replacement first of February was told today it would be in April 1. Have been told each week a different date.what is going on?

It sounds like you’ve been troubleshooting diligently. The symptoms you’re describing, where the dishwasher fills with water but immediately drains without completing the wash cycle, can indeed be perplexing. Despite replacing components like the circuit board, water inlet pump, and A/S Assy-Case Brake, the issue persists. The blinking lights indicating various wash cycles might suggest a drain problem, but as you’ve observed, the drain pump seems to function correctly. This situation underscores the complexity of appliance repair, where even seemingly unrelated components can affect each other’s functionality. Considering the thoroughness of your efforts, consulting with a professional technician or the manufacturer’s customer support might provide further insight into resolving this intricate issue.
