Safe to bypass fuse on GE washer?

I have a GE Washer WJRE5550K2WW that I got for free (neighbors throwing it out). After cleaning it up it works fine. It is squeaking which is why they replaced it.

It stopped spinning and I identified the in-line fuse on the white/red wire had gone bad. My questions is this: Until I get a replacement is it safe to bypass this fuse to do laundry? If not is it possible to get a replacement locally? It’s a Buss 10A 125V.

You should only by pass a fuse for testing purposes, that is, to see if that is the problem. Patience will be rewarded here.
