roper washing machine

my roper stopped working when it came to the spin cycle…started smelling like an electrical problem. Will not empty, cannot drain, and it is making a ticking noise along with a sound that sounds like it is winding down…please give me any advice you can on how to repair. We think it may be a water pump. thanks

If it’s less than a year old as stated above call a Whirlppol technician for service. If not here’s a breakdown of your machine. Replacement parts for WHIRLPOOL RTW4340SQ0 | AppliancePartsPros.com
Most likely the coupler, located between the pump and motor wore out. you can raise the top and remove the front panel to access the interior of the machine.
