Hello:..My Roper washing machine just stopped spinning yesterday…the water will go out of the tub, however the tub will not spin (in order to spin the water out of the clothes).

This morning I started the wash cycle…water filled properly…but will not agitate in wash cycle…just noise, but agitator is not moving.

One further thing I noticed (this may be significant or not) is when I grabbed the inside tub, I can easily shift the tub my hand left/right and forward/backward by hand.

Check the motor coupler. There is a video on ApplianceJunk.com that will show you how. A very simple, cheap and easy repair.

Trying to change auger dogs on my roper dryer. Watched all videos, my model has a 5/16 bolt hold auger on. Can’t put socket on it.
