Roper washer does nothing but fill

The washer will fill but thats it. Motor, agitator and drum will spin by hand only. There’s no hum except when trying to fill. Seems like motor is not getting any power at all.

Most likely the problem is a bad lid switch (#11 on the diagram)

  • The part number for the lid switch is AP3100003

Thanks Gene, you were exactly right. I took the switch off and the clamps holding it together had come apart. Thanks so much!! I don’t need to order a part but I will keep you guys in my favorites and will order from [COLOR=red]you:) [/COLOR] whenever needed.
