Roper RED4640YQ1 dryer won't start

Main Symptom: Won’t start
What happens & when: Ran loads successfully (with no apparent issues) but a few hours later nothing happened when the start button was pressed. Circuit is not tripped, door is fully closed, plugged in, timer is set, etc. But there’s no start, nothing at all. The dryer is 11 years old and has had several repairs already, including a replacement motor.

Start by checking the door switch and the thermal fuse for continuity.

Will do ASAP. My wife and I were out of town when my daughter reported the issue to us. Fortunately she lives next door and has a working dryer so we’re not totally dead in the water. That leaves me time to resolve other “stuff” that happened while we were gone. :slight_smile:

It was the thermal fuse, of course. I think I may have even changed it out long ago. Thanks for the help!
