Roper electric dryer no heat

My roper dryer has no heat it turns on but no heat I had a dryer repair guy come in and he said it was the timer he charged me $65.00 to come out So I ordered the timer and installed it and still no heat my breaker is fine I have 240v at the plug it seems the heater is not turning on any ideas ?

What is the complete model number of the dryer?

First of all you need to slap around the fool that came out to your house, and get your money back. Did you check the breaker outside, by flipping the dryer breaker off and on a few times, and see if it works. If that does not work, it will either be the thermal fuse, which is mounted on the heater housing, or the element. Tom ApplianceEducator.com

I have 220 volts at the plug and I have continuity across the thermal fuse how many ohms should I be reading across the thermal fuse? How do I check the heating element ?

to check the heating element.

first shut off the power as everything in your dryer is live and hot with power and lots of it, next get a multimeter from your local home depot or whatever, it doesn’t have to be expensive and put it on continuity mode. It sometimes looks like a little speaker.

Touch the two probes attached to your multimeter together to make sure you hear a beep, this is the beep that you will be listening for when you test.

Take apart your dryer and pull the drum out. (again make sure the power to the dryer is OFF!) . Next pull the two terminals off that connect to your coil..

then you can test. With the power still off, touch the two probes to each of the two connectors that you pulled the terminals off of. If you hear a beep like you heard before when you touched the probes together, that means your coil is good, if not its bad.
