Our JennAir JDB6510AWP dishwasher fails to spray water during the rinse cycle only. The water sprays fine during the wash cycle so, why does it not work on the rinse cycle? Where and what do you suggest to look at for problems? Thanks.
I checked the parts and they aren’t clogged with anything. But we did notice that just before examining those parts, the water didn’t spray during the wash cycle this time and it was quite hot inside the dishwasher. What should I check next? Thanks.
Remove the lower spray arm and the pump cover. Check the pump filter and the rinse arm (#6 & #7 at the diagram). If they are clogged with a hard water deposits, clean them with a white vinegar and a soft metal brush or just replace them.

Hi Gene,
The motor does spin on the wash/rinse cycle. I have the Lower arm assy and other parts off down to the Impeller assy. Then, I turned on the dishwasher for a second to verify the pump/impeller was spinning. It was. (closed & opened the door quickly)
Should I let it run a little longer and see if water sprays a bit?
Yes, the motor turns on both cycles; no water is entering the dishwasher during either cycle. There is water in the line to the valve. How do I test if the valve is opening or not? I see 120v at the terminals to the valve when the DW starts. Thanks.
If no water was entering the dishwasher while it was 120 VAC at the water valve terminals then the water valve is bad or clogged. I would suggest to replace it.
