Dear Appliance Parts Pro Forum,

I have a Thermador gas range with model No: PRG366ES/11.

I need the name of the Anti-Seize compound that I can use to screw the gas range Venturi tube (PN: 00189023) into the Surface Burner Holder (PN: 00600607)

On the internet I found the following one:

Grainger: ANTI-SEIZE TECHNOLOGY Heavy Duty Anti-Seize: Brush-Top Can, 5 oz, Aluminum/Copper Base

Please let me know what anti-seize compound that you recommend to use on the tread in order to screw Venturi tube into the Surface Burner holder so that the parts will not seize into each other.

For that threaded connection, I would use a high-temperature, nickel-based anti-seize compound, applied very sparingly to the Venturi threads only. A suitable example is Loctite LB 771 Nickel Anti-Seize (formerly Loctite Nickel Grade Anti-Seize). Nickel anti-seize is preferable here because it handles burner-area temperatures and helps prevent the Venturi from galling/seizing in the holder.

Important: don’t use ordinary pipe-thread sealant/PTFE tape. The Venturi-to-holder threads are a mechanical attachment, and you don’t want anti-seize getting into the gas passage, burner orifice, or Venturi opening. The tendency of these parts to seize is real—repair reports specifically describe Venturi/gas tubes seized into the burner assembly and requiring destructive removal.

I couldn’t find a publicly available Thermador service document that specifies an OEM anti-seize brand or Bosch/Thermador compound part number for this exact joint, so I wouldn’t claim Loctite 771 is the factory-specified product. Thermador directs technical repair-document requests through its support department.
