I am trying to replace a bake element in my oven. I removed the old one and thought I would just plug the new one in. HOwever, it is not heating up. Is there something else that needs to be done? I inserted the two prongs into the two holes on the back of the oven wall but it doesn’t feel like they are “plugging” in to anything.
it doesnt work that way, the wires are either slid onto element or screwed on , when you pulled it out you must have disconected the wire , which now are loose inside the space between oven cavity and back panel, or you didnt have a bad element and the thermostat has failed. caution with high voltage, maybe call an expert.
