Brand:Maytag
Model Number:MDG2301BWW
Main Symptom: Not enough heat
What happens & when: Clothing takes very long to dry. Could be a damaged blower wheel. Can I remove bulkhead panel - as shown in your repair video for replacing blower wheel (part # 33001790) without damaging the blower seal. Blower seal (33001758) is no longer available.

The seal should be fine for removal and the video would be a good reference. However, are the clothes coming out hot and damp after the first drying cycle?
They come out warm (definitely not hot) and damp. I can see the igniter turn orange and ignite the propane, but it does not cycle. I suspect that the heat is not getting fully into the drum, thus maybe a bad blower wheel. I would so welcome any advice as I am pretty frustrated. Thank You!
The blower wheel would be worth checking. Another section worth checking would be ensuring the vent going from the dryer to the wall and the duct from the inside to the outside of the home are clear. This ensures air flow is good at that side. Let me know what you find with these checks.
Thank You. I will let you know. I know right now that the venting to the outside is clear. I will need to check the blower wheel. Won’t have the time for a few days, but I will check and I will let you know.
Thank You!!
