What was the part # replaced and what was the original issue that caused it to be replaced?
The original part was W1126006 and it was replaced with the W11419171 main control board. The original problem was the pressure sensor integrated pressure sensor was defective resulting in the drain pump continuously operating. The sensor was providing invalid readings. The new board was installed and the display LCD display functioned as expected. The control buttons and knob were non functional. I reinstalled the defective control board and verified the control panel was still functioning properly. All buttons and the knob were working. I re-installed the new board and tried every reset and calibration sequence I could find on the internet with no luck. buttons an knob still non-functional
That could be the control board not integrating with the user interface properly, so possibly a defective control board.
I would check something before condemning that control board, though. When you reinstall the old control board does the drain pump start running again?
Yes. When the old control board is installed the original fault returns. The drain pump runs continuously and the pressure sensor reports an invalid value, 65535, if memory serves me correctly. Appliance Parts Pro stated I needed and sold me a new control panel. If the new control board is defective, I do not want to open the packaging to the new control panel. Maybe I could return it and save hundreds of dollars.
From that information and my experience, I think it more likely that you received a bad control board out of the box. I recommend contacting our customer support team at 1-877-477-7278 to replace that control board under warranty.
It is possible that the new control board and the original user interface are incompatible, but I wouldn’t try that just yet.
