I have a Kenmore washer with a power cord that has the grounding prong on the outlet plug MISSING so it is not grounded! The washer works FINE, but I want it safe, grounded. Also the plug’s cord now is 90 degrees, down and interferes with the dryer (GE space saver 120V 15 amp 3 prong standard plug, not a “dryer plug” ) so they can’t be plugged into the same outlet!! So I need to :
Replace the washer plug with a new cord that comes straight out (versus downwards) with grounding!!
I found was a whirlpool/kenmore replacement that has the cord coming out the plug (not at 90 degrees). It is much cheaper but it has a 2 wire (white/black neutral/hot) and the ground wire outside of the 2 wide terminal slide-in block. It is:
