Replacing insulation in GE electric range/oven

While on vacation last month, a mouse made a home inside the insulation of our GE range/oven. I have removed the range top and removed as much of the contaminated insulation as I could discover, but there is still a very offensive odor. Can I replace all of the insulation, and if so, does it require a special type of insulation?

Hello, Did replacing the insulation solve the mouse odor problem. I now have that problem too and don’t know if I should go to the expense to buy new insulation or just replace the range. If you solved your mouse odor problem, what did you do? Thanks for your help. Gail

Sorry, folks. I was trying to duplicate a post I submitted to another user that deals with eliminating the odors. Somehow got it mixed with another post, and unable to delete it.
