Replacing a Whirlpool glass top stove element

The right rear element quit working. How do I change this out? The stove is built in and I am not sure how to get to the element under the glass. Do I have to pull the entire stove out of the cabinet? I know some of the glass tops I have seen allow you to just lift them up. But not sure about this one.

Your range is what Whirlpool called “set-in range” and it differs with a regular free standing ranges by its installation.

You have to pull the range out of the cabinet for at least half way. Hopefully the Installation instructions will give you an idea how to do it right.

As soon as you do it the rest is pretty standard.

I would check the heating element for continuity as well as the infinite switch for this burner.
