Does anyone have instructions on how to replace the motor in my GE washing machine? I just purchased the replacement: AP3160670 (WH49X10035) motor and clutch kit, 2 speed. Thank you.
Elleka,
Remove the front panel. Remove the belt. Unscrew the four nuts secured the motor to the mounting plate. Remove the old motor by pulling it up. Install the new motor in the reversed order.

I am replacing a wh20x10009 with a WH49X10035. The female wiring harness on the old motor is a 1x9 array while the new motor is 3x3. The new motor comes with a 3x3 male connector, the wires from which mostly terminate in cut and stripped wire ends.
I am assuming I need to cut off the old 1x9 male connector and crimp the old wires to those on the new connector. The wire colors don’t seem to match up identically, though.
Any idea how I know which wires to connect?

The scanned instructions were exactly what I needed. I will order the motor with confidence that I can install this myself. I appreciate the time to post the instructions as it is a great help to me!
You are welcome. Keep us posted.
